============= The Butler Did It ==================

A Whodunnit by Philip Buchanan

============== Introduction ====================

This is a whodunnit. Minimal clues, minimal interaction, and a very minimal appearance.

If it doesn't run first time, keep trying.

================ How To Play ===================

A crime has been committed in Lord Fletcher's manor. Someone has been murdered.

Upon arriving at the scene, you are told who is deceased, where their body was found, and what they were murdered with. You have to interview the residents, trace their movements, and ascertain the identity of the killer.

When you think you know who committed the murder, 'interview' the suspect, then click the handcuffs icon.

Each icon represents a person in the house at the time of the murder. When the icon is clicked, the person is 'interviewed', showing their last movements, and anyone they encounter. You only see other people if they are in the same room.

The murderer, however, is unlikely to confess to being guilty. This person will fabricate a story. No other characters have reason to lie about their movements, so by careful deduction and investigation, it is possible to find the perpetrator of the crime.

To help you solve the crime, you may wish to know :

	The murderer may lie when showing their version of events, but all other
	versions are accurate.

	The killing occured at the end of the time sequence.

	The time sequence is 7 'blocks' long. People do not change rooms in
	the middle of a block.

	A list of furniture:
		The Knife is used by the cook in the Kitchen
		The Billiard Cue is kept in the Billiards Room
		The Letter Opener comes from a drawer in the Smoking Room
		The Book is from the Library
		A Coal Scuttle is kept in the Scullery
		Needles are found in the Sewing Room
		An antique Pistol hangs on the wall in the Lounge
		Lady Fletcher keeps her Necklaces in the Master Bedroom
		The ceramic Chamber Pot comes from the Spare Bedroom

Crimes should take between 10 and 60 minutes to solve. You will probably need pen and paper. Have fun, and good luck, detective.
